PBBM visits Abra to check situation after magnitude-7 earthquake

BANGUED, Abra – President Ferdinand R. Marcos Jr. visited this province today, Thursday, July 28, to check the situation a day after a magnitude-7 earthquake struck.

Marcos arrived at Camp Col. Juan Villamor here and was received by Abra Vice Gov. Ma. Jocelyn Bernos, Area Police Command-Northern Luzon chief Police Lt. Gen. Rodolfo Azurin Jr., PRO-Cordillera director Police Brig. Gen. Ronald Oliver Lee, and Abra police chief Police Col. Maly Cula.

Marcos went to the Abra Provincial Hospital to personally check residents affected by the earthquake.

He was accompanied by Social Welfare and Development Secretary Raffy Tulfo.

PBBM is presiding over a briefing about the situation in areas affected by the earthquake.

Abra bore the brunt of the earthquake. The epicenter of the earthquake was in Lagangilang, several kilometers east of the provincial capital.
