Las Piñas rolls out 2nd booster shot for 50+, 18-49 years old with comorbidities

The local government of Las Piñas City started giving second Covid-19 booster doses to individuals aged 18 to 49 with comorbities and all adults aged 50 years and above.

In a post on Public Information Office Facebook page, the city government reminded those who will get their second booster shot to make sure that they received their first booster dose four months ago.

It also reminded the vaccinees to bring their identification and vaccination cards.

Mayor Imelda Aguilar is encouraging all residents to receive the booster shots against Covid-19 to have additional protection, especially against the more transmissible Omicron variants.

Aguilar said the city government also continues to administer booster shots to A1 (medical frontliners), A2 (senior citizens) and A3 (immunocompromised) categories.

The Department of Health (DOH) is aiming to increase the number of Filipinos getting the booster shots through the “PinasLakas” vaccination program.

The “PinasLakas” is the Marcos administration’s way of boosting the country’s vaccination drive against the dreaded disease.
