Six of eight NPA terrorists cadavers recovered in Isabela town identified


CAMP MELCHOR F. DELA CRUZ, Upi, Gamu, Isabela -- The military has identified six of the eight bodies believed to be members of the New People’s Army which were recovered in Barangay Canadam, Maconacon in this province.

The recovered bodies were members of the terrorist group Isabela Provincial Committee, Regional Committee-Cagayan Valley.

According to the report of 502nd Infantry Brigade, those identified were Willy Baltazar alias Brad , a resident of Barangay Rizal, San Guillermo, Isabela; Junjun alias Bamboo, of San Mariano, Isabela; Raffy Valencia alias Rigid, Amulung town in Cagayan; Jestoni Peregrido alias Marco of Gubat Sorsogon; Angelo Miguel Del Rosario alias Bryan of Bacoor Cavite; and Mario Agustin alias Eloy.

The identities of alias ‘Dondon’ and alias ‘Monmon’ were still being determined by the military.

Based on their initial information, both were from the Mindanao region.

"At the moment we are continuing our communication with their respective families and inform them of what happened to their relatives at the hands of the terrorist group," said Brigadier General Danilo Benavides, Brigade Commander of the 502nd Infantry Brigade.

"Sa senaryong ito, nawa'y mabuksan na ang mga mata ng natitira pang mga miyembro ng teroristang NPA,” said Benavides.

“Magbalik-loob na kayo sa ating pamahalaan at mamuhay ng matiwasay kasama ang inyong pamilya. Huwag na ninyong hintayin na kayo ay kanila pang paglalamayan bago kayo magkasama ng inyong mga mahal sa buhay," the military official added.

It can be recalled that on July 3rd, three bodies of NPA terrorists were recovered by the 95th Infantry Battalion followed by the recovery of five more bodies five days later.

The recovery of the bodies was made possible by the revelation of the former rebels.
