The enrollment period for the upcoming school year (SY) 2022-2023 has officially begun.
The Department of Education (DepEd), on Monday, July 25, reminded the public that the enrollment will only be conducted until Aug. 22, 2022. This applies for Kindergarten, Elementary, Junior High, and Senior High School, including Alternative Learning System (ALS) students for the upcoming academic year.
DepEd, under their previously issued memorandum No. 035, encouraged State/Local Universities, Colleges, and private schools offering basic education to adopt this policy.
Meanwhile, the department presented three enrollment procedures namely in-person enrollment, remote enrollment, and enrollment through dropbox forms.
After years of implementing remote and dropbox enrollment, DepEd reintroduced in-person enrollment to prepare the learners and educators for forthcoming five-day face-to-face classes in public and private schools across the country beginning Nov. 2, 2022.
“Upang masigurong protektado ang mga magpapatala nang in-person, huwag kalimutang sundin ang ating health protocols gaya ng pagsusuot ng face mask at pagpapanatili ng physical distancing (To ensure that those who enroll in-person are protected, do not forget to follow our health protocols such as wearing of mask and maintaining physical distancing),” said DepEd.
Classes for SY 2022-2023 will begin on Aug. 22, 2022.
