Senior citizens in Valenzuela city receive ‘Pasko sa Hulyo’ rice bags from local gov’t


The Valenzuela City government started the distribution of the "Pasko sa Hulyo" rice bags to senior citizens in the city on Saturday, July 23.

The distribution will be held for five days, from July 23-24, 29-31 in various redemption sites in different barangays, where the elderlies registered to the city's Office of the Senior Citizens Affairs (OSCA) will each receive 10 kilograms of rice.

According to the local government, the registered beneficiaries should present their Pasko sa Hulyo claim stubs, and their OSCA identification cards when claiming the gifts.

Representatives of the senior citizens who will claim the rice bags must present an authorization letter signed by the beneficiary, and a valid ID.

The local government encouraged the senior citizens to let a representative get their rice bags only on the date, time, and venue indicated on their claim stubs.

The city government aims to distribute the rice bags to a total of 61, 211 registered elderlies in the city.
