Caritas Manila will be holding a bloodletting activity in Pandacan, Manila on July 29.
In a Facebook post, the social action arm of the Archdiocese of Manila said the basic requirements for blood donors are the following:
•Weight at least 110 lbs or 50 kgs above.
•Are between 17 yrs and 60 yrs old (17 yrs old with written parental consent).
•No symptoms for at least one week of cough, runny nose, diarrhea and sore throat.
•Hemoglobin level at least 125 g/L.
•Pulse rate: Between 60 to 100 beats/min.
•Blood Pressure: Between 90 to 150 systolic and 60 to 90 diastolic.
•Interval between two blood donations is three months.
•Require a deferment period of 12 months for tattoo and ear piercing.
The bloodletting activity will be held from 8 a.m. to 4 p.m. at the Caritas Multi-Purpose Bldg.
