5 drug suspects fall; P211,000 shabu seized in Taguig 


The Taguig police arrested five persons and seized P211,276 worth of suspected shabu (methamphetamine hydrochloride) in operations on July 23 and 24 in the city.

On July 23, the Taguig police’s Drug Enforcement Unit (DEU) conducted a buy-bust operation along Roldan Street in Barangay New Lower Bicutan that led to the arrest of suspect Gardo Munib, 30.

Seized from him were four plastic sachets containing suspected shabu weighing 14.8 grams with a value of P100,640, one .45-caliber pistol, five pieces live ammunition, one expired permit to carry ID, one license to own and possess firearms ID, and one firearm registration card.

An operation by the police’s Substation 7 personnel on the same date resulted in the arrest of suspects Cosme Selorio, 52; Reynaldo Dauz Jr., 48; and Ronie Pabilonia, 35.

The police seized three plastic sachets containing suspected shabu weighing 11.5 grams worth P78,200.

On July 24, the Taguig police’s Substation 10 personnel arrested Reynaldo Orsina Jr., 21, in an operation along 13th Street, Barangay Lower Bicutan.

The police confiscated two plastic sachets containing suspected shabu weighing 4.77 grams with a value of P32,436.

All the arrested suspects are under the custody of Taguig Police while the seized illegal drugs were turned over to the Southern Police District Forensic Unit for chemical analysis.
