The Las Piñas Disaster Risk Reduction and Management Office (DRRMO) conducted a two-day first aid training for City Hall employees.
Mayor Imelda Aguilar said the DRRMO staff trained City Hall employees on basic life support, particularly cardiopulmonary resuscitation or CPR and first aid.
Aguilar said the training was aimed at educating all employees on common medical and trauma emergencies that may occur at their work place.
She said it is very important that each employee must be prepared to respond to any emergency.
She added that the training is also part of looking after the welfare of every employee at the City Hall.
Aguilar said the DRRMO conducted the training following the success of its inter-barangay “First Aid Olympic” last July 16.
The event was participated in by members of the Barangay Emergency Response Teams.
