Manila urges public to get vaccinated as Covid-19 cases rise


The City of Manila on Tuesday, July 19, reminded the public to get vaccinated as Covid-19 cases continue to rise.

“Alinsunod ng pagtaas ng bilang ng mga kaso ng Covid-19, and Lungsod ng Manila, sa pangunguna ng Manila Health Department, ay inaanyayahan ang lahat na magpabakuna sa pinakamalapit na bakunahan sa kanilang lugar (Due to the increasing number of cases of Covid-19, the City of Manila, through the Manila Health Department, invites everyone to get vaccinated at the nearest vaccination center in their area)," the city government said in its advisory.

The vaccinations for children and adults are being conducted in 44 health centers, six local hospitals, and four malls in the city.

"Ang pagbibigay ng mga bakunang nabanggit ay alinsunod sa mga ibinabang alituntunin ng Kagawaran ng Kalusugan (The provision of vaccines is in accordance with the guidelines issued by the Department of Health)," the city said.

Vaccination is open for both residents and non-residents of the city.

Those interested in getting vaccinated may register at www.manilacovid19vaccine.ph.

They are also required to bring a valid ID, their vaccination card, and medical certificate.
