Bulacan sees upward trend in new Covid-19 cases

The province of Bulacan is seeing an upward trend in the number of new Covid-19 cases.

Because of this, Gov. Daniel R. Fernando called on Bulakenyos to get their Covid-19 booster shots.

Fernando said Bulakenyos should not wait for the Covid-19 situation to worsen before taking action.

He said the official vaccination site at the Hiyas ng Bulacan Convention Center is open to those who are willing to get their booster shots.

On Monday, July 18, Provincial Health Office (PHO) Officer II Dr. Hjordis Marushka B. Celis reported to Fernando that the PHO had administered a total of 5,756,301 Covid-19 vaccines, and only 647,334 are booster shots. She added that 2,490,490 or 82.63 percent of the eligible population are fully vaccinated against Covid-19.

Celis also said that the Bulacan Medical Center is currently implementing an appointment system to avoid the influx of patients in the Out-Patient Department and to prevent them from being exposed to the virus.
