P224,000 worth of shabu seized from 20-year old female pusher in Calamba


CAMP GEN. VICENTE LIM, Calamba City, Laguna -- Some P224,000 worth of shabu was confiscated from a lady who was arrested during a buy-bust operation on early morning of Tuesday, July 19, at Purok 1, Villa Pansol, Barangay Pansol, Calamba City.

Brigadier General Antonio Yarra, Police Regional Office 4A director, said in a report that the suspect was identified as Karen Cabezas, 20, single and resident of the said place.

The suspect was also on the list of high-value individuals.

Police confiscated from her seven sachets of shabu with an estimated weight of 33 grams and an estimated Dangerous Drug Board value of P224,400, two 500-peso bills, five 100-peso bills, and a car without a plate number.

The buy-bust was conducted by the Calamba City Philippine National Police in coordination with the Philippine Drug Enforcement Agency – Laguna.

“The arrest of Cabezas as a high-value individual only demonstrates the tougher action and program of our police and national government against drugs,” said Yarra.

“Our compatriots can be sure that we in PRO4A will focus even more on the arrest and suppression of such ill vices to maintain order and tranquility in our society," added Yarra.
