The Diocese of Malolos will welcome the new pilgrim relic of Blessed Carlo Acutis at the Minor Basilica and Cathedral of the Immaculate Conception in Bulacan on July 27.
Malolos Bishop Dennis Villarojo will preside over the Mass for the liturgical reception of the new pilgrim relic at 6 p.m.
The prelate is the Episcopal Promoter of the Friends of Blessed Carlo Acutis Philippines.
In a Facebook post, the Friends of Blessed Carlo Acutis Philippines said, the relics, ex corpore et ex capilis (from the body and hair), is a gift from the Diocese of Assisi and the Associazione Amici di Carlo Acutis with the mission of "aiding the Filipino people discover his life and spirituality which brought him to the glory of heaven."
The group asks everyone to take part in the occasion.
"We hope to see you there and let us together thank the Lord for the gift of the presence of this young testimony of our faith in our country," read the post.
Acutis, a young computer programmer who died of leukemia in 2006 at the age of 15 was beatified on October 10, 2020, in Assisi in the Basilica of St. Francis.
