Cignal guns for a third straight win to pull away from the rest of the field when it tackles Chery Tiggo Saturday in the Premier Volleyball League Invitational Conference at The Arena in San Juan City.

Match is at 5:30 p.m. with the HD Spikers seeking a follow-up of their 24-26, 19-25, 25-16, 25-21, 15-11 triumph over Choco Mucho Flying Titans two days back.

Cignal coach Shaq Delos Santos will continue to parade a lean frontline that include Ces Molina, Ria Meneses, Roselyn Doria and Rachel Anne Daquis, and expect Glaudine Troncoso to follow up her impressive match after firing 13 points the last time.

Chery Tiggo, for its part, aims to crawl out of the 0-2 hole as it tries to erase the stigma of their defeats including a 25-18, 25-19, 25-14 loss to PLDT Home Fibr last Tuesday.

But the Crossovers are likely to come into the match a lot tougher with the likes of EJ Laure, Buding Duremdes, Alina Bicar and Justine Dorog expected to return following health and safety protocols although top hitter and leader Dindin Manabat, who suffered an ankle injury in a tune-up match, remains a day-to-day case.

In the other pairing, Creamline and PLDT gun for a second straight victory when they clash in the 2:30 p.m. curtain raiser.

The Cool Smashers are coming off a 25-22, 23-25, 25-22, 25-20 triumph over the Petro Gazz Angels last Tuesday while the HD Spikers are also fresh from a straight set win over the Crossovers on the same day.
