A model and a gamer

Kristine Santamena found fame streaming her gameplay on Facebook. What started as a way of learning more about her computer rental business and its customers evolved into a full-time livestreaming career with over 6 million followers across all social media accounts.

GXR Creators' popular model and gamer on Facebook is an early adopter and started streaming in 2018. Fresh out of college, she enjoyed interacting with followers and other players, encouraging her to pursue streaming more and more.

"GXR Creators is one of our business verticals," shared by Marcia Guillermo, Galaxy Racer country manager. "Galaxy Racer is a Transmedia Powerhouse that leads the way in esports, music, sports, and content creation. We aim to connect brands to audiences with our Creators. Our creators are also our brand ambassadors and headliners across GXR verticals."

Kristine shares, "At the beginning, I was always nervous, but eventually, I got the hang of it, and it became more of a routine." Adding delightedly, "I was encouraged to do it more regularly when I started noticing that my followers were increasing and are watching more regularly to the point that I memorize most of them by their names."

Her gameplay focuses on ML:BB, COD:M, and ROM. She also enjoys playing horror games like Friday the 13th, Deceit, Outlast, and Resident Evil to name a few. These strategy games challenge her to play, think hard, and find ways to win the game.

She confesses to being a morning person, starting her streaming at 8 AM from Monday to Friday. Santamena also relates her experiences as a tournament player among streamers and influencers. An experience she enjoys a lot since it allows her to meet more people and gain new friends.

She said, I know gaming and streaming are male-dominated fields, but I do not let that affect me, even when there are negative comments. I focus on improving my gameplay, being more respectful, not thinking about the negative, and being a good example to both my male and female audiences.

Like Yna Magenda and Kitz Cua, Kristine shares a common desire: To (always) keep their audiences happy, the key to keeping their community together and supportive of whatever they put out as their unique content.

"GXR Creators will continue to support our talents, providing them meaningful career advice and the chance to connect them with brands that align with their messaging," shares Guillermo. She closes, "The opportunity to reach a more significant number of audience is immense, by simply collaborating with our creators."
