799 farmers in three Quezon towns receive financial aid from national government


INFANTA, Quezon -- About 799 farmers from REINA (Real, Infanta, Nakar) towns received assistance from the national government during the launching of the Rice Competitiveness Enhancement Fund-Rice Farmers Financial Assistance (RCEF-RFFA) and Fuel Discounts Program for Corn Farmers and Fisher folks.

The Department of Agriculture Regional Field Office 4A and the District Office of the House of Representative spearheaded the launching on Thursday.

Quezon First District Representative Mark Enverga, chairman of the House Committee on Agriculture, initiated the programs for 719 rice farmers and 94 corn farmers who received P5000 and P3000 fuel subsidies respectively.

DA-4A regional executive director Arnel de Mesa, Bureau of Fisheries and Aquatic Resources director Allan Castillo, municipal agriculturists, and their staff supervised the distribution of assistance along with the district staff of Rep. Enverga.

The assistance is the national government’s support  to the agriculture sector that was being affected by the pandemic and calamities.
