She met with Gloria Magdael, who waited for Duterte outside the university with her son Niño and husband Nolito.

The Vice President was caught on video taking some time off her busy schedule to talk with Gloria while she was inside her sport utility vehicle or SUV.

Her security team and traffic enforcers waited as Duterte greeted a long-time acquaintance.

Niño told the Manila Bulletin that they are residents near the university where the Vice President briefly attended law school before transferring to San Sebastian College.

Gloria, a park attendant, used to watch over Duterte's car when she attended law school.

They have known Duterte since her San Beda days and also have assisted in traffic every time she visits. And they still do now she is the country’s second top official.

The Vice President attended a mass for the birthday celebration of businessman Manny Pangilinan at the San Beda Chapel.

Duterte has been known to take selfies and meet with supporters outside every event she attends.

On her first mass at the San Miguel Church near Malacañang after taking the helm of the vice presidency, she also took the time to take photos with residents who waited for her outside the church.
