7 suspects with drugs, firearms arrested in Pasay City


Members of the Pasay City police Station Drug Enforcement Unit (SDEU) conducted a series of drug buy-bust operation which led to the arrest of six suspects, four of them female, and another for illegal possession of firearms.

Col. Cesar Paday-os, city police chief, identified the suspects as Rolyn Morano, 30; Eleazara Ferrer, 22; both residents of M. Dela Cruz, Pasay City; Rodolfo Cabil, 27, listed as high value individual, of P. Santos, Malibay, Pasay City; Jamaica Carreon, 23, of Eletrical Road, Pasay City; Marianne Faith Alyssandra Genete, 21; Alvin Untalan, 43, who is listed in the drug watchlist; both residents of Villamor Airbase, Pasay City and ; Jomar Jurado, 34, of Imus, Cavite City.

Paday-os said Morano and Eleazara were arrested by members of the SDEU around 7:30 p.m. on Wednesday, July 13, along Gloria St., and confiscated from them about eight grams of shabu worth P54,400.

He said the suspects were caught by members of the SDEU who were conducting "Oplan Galugad" against those engaging in illegal drug trade.

The city police chief said members of the Intelligence Section were conducting surveillance around 9:30 p.m. along Gloria St., Pasay City which led to the arrest of a certain Girlie Atun, a lesbian, who has a pending warrant of arrest.

Paday-os said Intelligence Section operatives spotted Jurado fixing a steel object which appears to be a firearm.

A .38 caliber revolver with two live ammunitions was confiscated from Jurado.

He said SDEU members arrested Cabil and Carreon around 11:30 p.m. along Malibay, Pasay City and confiscated from them about 65 grams of shabu amounting to P442,00

The city police chief said the arrest of the two suspects -- Cabil and Carreon -- was followed by the arrest of two more drug suspects -- Genete and Untalan -- both listed in the police drug watchlist.

Paday-os said the suspects were arrested around 12:30 a.m. on Thursday, July 14, along Mata St., Villamor Airbase, Pasay City. Confiscated from the suspects were 5.50 grams of shabu worth P37,400.

He said the confiscated shabu and firearms were turned over to the Southern Police District Forensic Unit for chemical analysis and ballistic examination.
