GeekTalk PH is a group of geek content creators on multiple social media platforms. Founded on TikTok during the height of the Covid-19 pandemic by Joshua Navarro (@GalacticShark) and Co-founded by Denis De Chavez (@LegenDenis), we initially started our main content on TikTok, and we are now expanding to more platforms like Kumu, Facebook, YouTube, Instagram, and many more.
According to Joshua Navarro, founder of GeekTalk PH: “Everything started with a dream, a dream to build a safe space for geeks to express themselves without being criticized or hated on. I encourage everyone to always talk about what you love. When you love something, talk about it.”
In a year's time, GeekTalk PH has grown from a hashtag to one of the most active geek movements, generating more than 500 million cumulative views across multiple social media channels and content creators. Fueled by passion for different fandoms, the group has grown into a lively community that continues to grow every day.
And now, GeekTalk PH is now leaning towards becoming a creator network for geeks and is determined to represent the Geek Community across the country.
With recent major projects like our ”Marvel’s Dr. Strange Multiverse of Madness" Block Screening and Star Wars Game Night, GeekTalk PH have successfully reached a significant number of people within Metro Manila that evidently enjoyed the said events.
On July 6, GeekTalk PH organized their second block screening event for Marvel’s Thor: Love and Thunder which was held at Greenhills, Theater Mall. And the tickets for this event were sold out within less than two weeks.
A red-carpet pictorial was held before the movie started, fans of the influencers had their photos taken with them, and after the film, raffle prizes such as toys, comics, stickers were given away during the event.
Did you miss the opportunity to watch Thor: Love and Thunder with creators from GeekTalk PH? Don’t worry because they have a lot in store for you in the coming months.
