Drug suspects arrested in Parañaque City


A forklift operator and two other persons were arrested by members of the Southern Police District (SPD) Drug Enforcement Unit (DEU) in a buy-bust operation and confiscated from them P204,000 worth of shabu on Tuesday, July 12.

SPD Director Brig. Gen. Jimili Macaraeg identified the suspects as Godino Apigo, 46, a forklift operator; Vicente Llander, 60; and Helenmie Abueva, 32, a vendor, all residents of Parañaque City.

Macaraeg said the suspects were arrested around 8:30 p.m. along Bacawan St., Purok I, Silverio Compound, Parañaque City.

He said members of the SPD-DEU, together with personnel from the District Intelligence Division in coordination with the Philippine Drug Enforcement Agency (PDEA), conducted the buy-bust operation that led to the arrest of the three suspects.

The SPD chief said the operating units were able to confiscate from the suspect 29 plastic sachets containing shabu worth P204,00, and one P500 bill used as the buy-bust money which was placed inside a black pouch.

Macaraeg said the suspects were brought at the DDEU custodial facility for confinement and were charged for illegal possession of drugs.
