MB Daily News Update: Yulo-Loyzaga is next DENR chief


In a bid to fill more vacancies in his Cabinet, President Ferdinand “Bongbong” Marcos Jr. nominated Ma. Antonia “Maritoni” Yulo-Loyzaga as the next Department of Environment and Natural Resources (DENR) Secretary, even as it reviewed the designation of Raphael Lotilla as Energy Secretary.

Despite the increase in the number of Covid-19 cases the past week, the country remains at low-risk, according to the Department of Health (DOH). This, as the OCTA Research Group said the recent mild surge in cases in Metro Manila may be starting to plateau as the growth rate starts to slow down.

A recent Pulse Asia survey showed that Filipinos would want the new government to focus on controlling inflation and increasing wages.
