Filipino fans have the funniest reactions to ‘Stranger Things’ cast playing Dr. Quack Quack

Remember this game?

Saying that Filipinos are big fans of “Stranger Things” is an understatement. In the past, Filipinos have had their fair share of conspiracy theories and hilarious meme creations that center on the hit Netflix series. And if you ask any of them what the series foursome’s favorite game is, they can say “Dungeons & Dragons” faster than Vecna’s mind invasion.

So to thrill Filipino fans everywhere, “Stanger Things” stars Finn Wolfhard, Caleb McLaughlin, and Gaten Matarazzo played a game Millennials today know and love dearly—Dr. Quack Quack.

Nineties kids who grew up playing the novelty game know that it is easy. In a group, one player will be selected as Dr. Quack Quack (local slang for healers doing fake cures or giving medical advice without professional research) through a game of “langit-lupa” or “jack n’ poy.” The chosen player will look away from the group as they form a circle while holding hands and “entangle” themselves. Dr. Quack Quack’s job is to fix the back to the original circle. If he or she fails to do it, the player will serve another round as “taya.” If the player is victorious, he or she will break the circle to play tag with the group. The player tagged by the “taya” will be the next Dr. Quack Quack. Fun and easy, right?

But it looks like the “Stranger Things” cast has no clue about how to play the game, and sure enough, Filipino netizens are fast to let them know it. Check out some of their funniest reactions below:

“Stranger Things” 4  Volumes 1 and 2 are now streaming on Netflix. Its fifth and final season is slated to be released in 2024.
