The Department of Finance (DOF) has approved the reshuffle of several regional district collectors of the Bureau of Internal Revenue (BIR), the government’s main tax agency.
Finance Secretary Benjamin E. Diokno’s approval follows BIR Commissioner Lilia C. Guillermo’s order that relieved six regional directors and two technical assistants and transferred them to new assignments.
Based on Revenue Travel Assignment Order (RTAO) No. 141-2022 dated July 7, 2022, Guillermo transferred Regional Director Nasser A. Tanggor from Zamboanga City to Eastern Visayas, while Regional Director Aynie E. Mandajoyan-Dizon from Zamboanga City to Eastern Visayas.
Guillermo also moved Regional Director Joseph M. Catapia from South National Capital Region (NCR) to Iloilo City, while Regional Director Jethro M. Sabariaga from Manila to South NCR.
Moreover, Regional Director Albino M. Galanza was relieved from Quezon City and moved to Manila, while Regional Director Mahinardo G. Mailig from Iloilo City to Quezon City.
Meanwhile, Technical Assistant Renato N. Molina was promoted to Assistant Regional Director of Quezon City, and South NCR Technical Assistant Carmen Grace Linga-Comoda now serves as Davao City Assistant Regional Director.
“All concerned personnel are director to strictly comply with the provisions of Revenue Order No. 38-2011 dated September 16, 2011, as amended by Revenue Memorandum Order No. 39-2022 dated October 25, 2022, regarding turnover of all accountabilities and compliance to issued RTAOs covering transfer of personnel,” Guillermo said
RTAO 141-2022 shall take effect immediately, the BIR chief pointed out.
