Pasay Mayor Emi urges residents to observe EMI Habit amid rising Covid-19 cases


Pasay City Mayor Emi Calixto-Rubiano urged residents to strictly observe the EMI (ensure to always wash your hands, mask is a must and implement physical distancing) habit amid the increasing number of Colvid-19 cases in the city.

Rubiano said the City Health Office (CHO) recorded five new active cases, bringing the total count to 27 on July 11.

She said the city government listed a total of 29,005 active cases and 587 deaths since the start of the Covid-19 pandemic.

The mayor said the recorded Covid-19 cases in the city on July 4 were only four, and the infections immediately increased to 16 on July 8.

Rubiano asked residents, especially the senior citizens, those with comorbidities, children and minors, to visit their respective health centers to receive the vaccine against the disease.
