The suspect, alias “Ka Ricky,” 47, of Barangay Minapasok, Calatrava, had previously surrendered to authorities, which enabled him to avail of the Enhanced Comprehensive Local Integration Program (E-CLIP) of the government for rebel returnees.
However, upon verification of his personality, Police Lt. Col. Jay Malong, commander of the 1st Negros Occidental Provincial Mobile Force Company (Nocpmfc), said they found out that he has an arrest warrant in Cadiz City.
The former rebel was arrested through information given by concerned citizens and nearly two months of close monitoring.
Malong said the name of the former rebel was withheld as validation is ongoing.
“Ka Ricky” is now the under custody of Calatrava Municipal Police Station, according to Malong.
