18th Cinemalaya film festival to be held in August

With almost everything slowly going back to normal, the Cultural Center Of The Philippines announced that it will hold the 18th Cinemalaya Film Festival from Aug. 5 to Oct. 31. The annual film event brings out the best Filipino independent films.

After two years of doing the festival online due to the pandemic, this year's film festival will be held at the CCP in Pasay City. This year's theme is "Breaking through the noise."

Earlier this month, Cinemalaya released the top 12 finalists for the short film category that will be competing in this year's film festival. These films are:
