Nieto, during his speech, encouraged the city council members to serve Manileños with compassion and fulfill their promises.

"Sa aking mga kasamahan sa ika-12 Sangguniang Panlungsod ng Maynila, dalhin natin ang ating mahal na lungsod sa liwanag ng kasaganahan at dalhin natin ang bawat Manilenyo sa maayos na daan — daan ng kaginhawahan at kapanatagan (To my colleagues in the 12th Sangguniang Panlungsod ng Manila, let us bring our beloved city to the light of prosperity and let us bring every Manilenyo to the orderly path of comfort and contentment)," Nieto said.

Nieto also thanked Mayor Honey Lacuna and former Mayor Francisco "Isko Moreno" Domagoso for trusting him to hold the position of vice mayor.

"Ate Honey at kay Kuya Isko, tuloy ang laban. Isang pamilya tayo at walang iwanan. Salamat po sa pagtitiwala sa akin at buong puso ko pong gagampanan itong tungkulin sa bawat Manilenyo na may takot sa Diyos at naaayon sa batas (Ate Honey and Kuya Isko, the fight continues. We are a family and no one will be left behind. Thank you for trusting me and I will wholeheartedly fulfill this duty to every Manilenyo with fear of God and is in accordance with the law)," he stated.

Lacuna, meanwhile, also thanked Domagoso as she was able to work with him in providing programs for the people of Manila.

She also assured that she will further strengthen the health care sector in the city as it remains the top priority of her administration.

"Sa unang isang daang araw natin ng panunungkulan ay sisikapin natin na lalo pang mapalakas ang kapasidad na makapaghatid ng dekalidad na serbisyo alinsunod sa mga patnubay sa pagpapatupad ng Universal Healthcare Act (During our first 100 days in the office, we will strive to further strengthen our capacity to deliver quality services in accordance with the implementation guidelines of the Universal Healthcare Act)," she stated.

The chief executive also said she wants to establish more super health centers that have complete basic laboratory tests, portable x-ray machines, and ECG machines in the capital city.
