Here’s what Heart Evangelista and Song Hyekyo saw during Chaumet’s jewelry gala

The Parisian luxury brand introduces its nature-inspired high jewelry pieces

Filipino netizens were stunned as the multifaceted Heart Evangelista shared a snap of her with South Korean actress Song Hyekyo during her time in Paris. As a K-drama-obsessed country, Hyekyo has stolen Filipinos’ hearts with her performance in “Full House” (2004) and “Descendants of the Sun” (2016), which both got Philippine adaptations. And for many Filipinos, this love for Korean shows comes full circle when Heart (who starred in the Filipino version of “Full House”) met Hyekyo at the Chaumet’s recent jewelry gala.

The two posed together for a photo while wearing some of the Parisian luxury brand’s pieces. Heart wore its Josephine Aigrette Imperiale set with her white Mark Bumgarner ensemble while Hyekyo donned pieces from its latest high jewelry collection to match her LBD. They were in Paris to witness the brand’s “Botanical” exhibition.

“Their newest nature-inspired collection was beyond beautiful, and every piece that came with it was indeed a work of art,” Heart wrote in a caption. “Remarkable is an understatement.”

Curated by botanist Marc Jeanson, the exhibit features 80 jewelry objects from Chaumet and other maisons with 400 artworks inviting everyone to discover 5,000 years of art and science.

“As the creator of the project, Chaumet drew on its vast heritage, one of the most important in the history of jewelry in Europe, to make its botanical vision resonate with all the art forms that have focused on plants,” the brand wrote on its website.

Just imagine, delicate rose buds, white water lilies, and other floras turned into spectacular wearable art pieces with precious gemstones and metal. “Botanical” runs until Sept. 4 at Beaux-Arts de Paris. Visit its website to know more about the showcase.
