COA chairmanship turned over to Calida


Ex-Solicitor General Jose Calida has officially assumed the chairmanship of the Commission on Audit (COA).

Calida was among the recent appointees of President Ferdinand "Bongbong" Marcos Jr.

The turn-over ceremony and assumption took place at COA's main office in Quezon City on Monday, July 4.

Accompanying Calida upon arrival at the COA was Jayke Joson, once an aide to former Senator Manny Pacquiao.

The new COA chairman subsequently held a briefing with other officials of the state's audit body.

Calida was named as Marcos's COA chairman-designate last June 29 by Press Secretary Trixie Cruz-Angeles.
