3 Fil-Am beauty queens to vie for Miss USA 2022 title


R’Bonney Nola is the newest Filipina-American beauty queen who will compete for the Miss USA 2022 crown.

She was named Miss Texas USA 2022 at Hilton Houston Post Oak on July 2.

On Instagram, she expressed her two cents about the milestone.

"My heart is filled with joy (heart emoji)," she wrote. "Its an honor to become Miss Texas USA 2022. I want to thank everyone involved in this special time! I have so much gratitude for your support. More thank you’s to come later..."

Last month, Fil-Am Suzanne Perez was crowned Miss New Mexico USA 2022.

And she couldn't be more excited.

"I AM GOING TO MISS USA!!!!!," she posted.

According to her, never in a million years did she think she would ever be saying that.

"God knew the desires of my heart and allowed my dream to come true. I am overwhelmed with gratitude. The tears have not stopped! I am so honored to be able to represent the Land of Enchantment! I can’t wait to make the most of my reign as your new Miss New Mexico USA," she related.

Note that in another post, Suzanne revealed how her "dream" was eight years in the making.

Meanwhile, early this year when Mexi-Pina American Kiana Yamat was hailed as Miss Hawaii USA 2022.

In fact, after winning, she admitted to "disbelief."

"Throughout the pageant, I kept telling myself and others how grateful I was for this experience regardless of the results - I did what I came to do. I changed my lifestyle to improve my mental and physical health while making lifelong friends with my pageant sisters," she wrote on her social media account. "I am blessed to have been backed by a fantastic team and support system (it indeed took a village). I can’t wait to acknowledge every one of you in my next set of posts. We did it!"
