10 injured in multicab crash in Negros Occidental

BACOLOD CITY – Ten persons, including a three-year-old boy, were injured when the multicab they were riding crashed in Barangay Cabatangan, Talisay City, Negros Occidental Sunday, July 3.

Police withheld the names of the victims and the driver upon their request.

Police Staff Sgt. Ryan Calalas, traffic investigator of the Talisay City Police Station, said the multicab with 12 passengers, including the driver, a three-month-old baby boy, and a three-year-old boy, all residents of E.B. Magalona, Negros Occidental, was on its way home from an outing in a resort in Talisay City when the accident happened.

Calalas said the driver reportedly lost his control over the vehicle while approaching a blind curve on the road, crashed, and tilted to its side.

Calalas said the 10 passengers sustained minor injuries and taken to a hospital and discharged later.
