Farmer hacks drunk fellow farmer dead in Quezon

SAN NARCISO, Quezon – A 45-year-old farmer hacked a fellow farmer under the influence of liquor to death following a heated argument in Barangay Villa Aurin here Saturday, July 2.

Police here identified the suspect as Ryan Saunar of Sitio Centro, Barangay Villa Aurin.

Investigation showed that that the victim, Efren Aurada, 40, single, of Barangay Pagkakaisa here, arrived at Saunar’s house drunk at around 7:30 a.m.

The victim screamed at Saunar and challenged the suspect to fight him, sparking a heated argument.

Saunar got a bolo and the victim ran away. However, the suspect chased Aurada until the victim was cornered and hacked in the neck and head to death.

The suspect fled but surrendered at around 1:30 p.m. to the police here and admitted to the crime.

Saunar faces a murder charge.
