4 fugitives arrested in Boracay


Operatives of the Malay Municipal Police Station in Aklan arrested four wanted persons as the Western Visayas regional police stepped up the campaign against fugitives.

Police Lt. Col. Don Dicksie De Dios, chief of police of Malay police station, said three of those arrested were collared after they were caught engaged in an illegal gambling activity in Barangay Manocmanoc, Malay, Aklan. on Wednesday, June 29.

The three arrested were wanted for various criminal offenses.

In a separate police operation in Barangay Balabag. De Dios said his men nabbed another wanted person facing a case of Acts of Lasciviousness.

De Dios commended his men for the successful manhunt operations against wanted persons as he urged them to continue making the municipality, particularly the Boracay Island, safe against criminal elements.

“This only shows that the Malay PNP is serious in its ongoing manhunt operations on all persons sought by the law," said de Dios.

The arrested fugitives were taken into police custody pending the issuance of a commitment order and return of the warrants of arrest to the court.
