Killed were backriders Romel Traya, 18; and a 17-year-old boy whose name was withheld, both residents of Barangay Pook, Hinoba-an. Injured was a 17-year-old boy, the driver, whose name was also withheld.
Police Major John Ganzon, Hinoba-an police chief, said the victims hit a gutter and swerved then crashed into the railings of a bridge while they were on their way to Barangay Bulwangan, Hinoba-an.
Ganzon said the two fatalities were thrown off the motorcycle, killing them on the spot. All of them sustained severe injuries, he added.
The Hinoba-an police chief said the road was slippery as it rained when the accident happened.
Ganzon said the injured victim was referred to a hospital here. All three of them were not wearing helmets, he added.
