The Pasig City local government will be hosting a mega job fair on Saturday, July 2, to coincide with the city's celebration of "Araw ng Pasig."
The fair will be held at the Pasig Sports Complex.
The fair was formed in partnership with JobStreet, an online job sourcing hub, in order to "empower Pasigueños" by providing them with accessible employment opportunities as well as in promoting local businesses in the city.
The event offers around 250 available job openings from 40 Pasig-based private companies and industries.
There will also be 10 overseas recruitment agencies present in the fair facilitated by the Philippine Overseas Employment Administration (POEA).
JobStreet Philippines Country Manager Phillip Gioca said this partnership with the local government was in support of its efforts in providing jobs for laborers amid the Covid-19 pandemic.
“As the economy slowly recovers from the pandemic, it’s about time that face-to-face career fairs make a grand comeback. We want to highlight the ability of our candidates to move forward and face labor climate changes head-on,” Gioca said.
Interested and qualified applicants must bring a copy of their printed resume and prepare for on-the-spot interviews.
They are also encouraged to dress appropriately and to follow the minimum health and safety protocols.
Candidates will fill out a form upon entry of the venue to register for the job fair.
