Pasay cops deployed in PICC for Covid testing of guests to PBBM inauguration

A total of 782 Pasay City policemen were deployed to the Philippine International Convention Center (PICC) to secure the area where the antigen testing of VIP guests for the inauguration of President-elect Ferdinand “Bongbong” Marcos, Jr. (PBBM)on Thursday, June 30, will be conducted.

According to Pasay City police chief, Col. Cesar Paday-os, the VIP guests who will be attending the inauguration of Marcos will have to proceed to the PICC for their antigen testing to be conducted by the Department of Health (DOH).

Paday-os said the antigen testing of VIP guests will be conducted at the PICC Forum Hall which was converted into a health facility during the Covid-19 surge.

He said the guests will only be allowed to proceed to the National Museum to attend Marcos' inauguration once they test negative for Covid-19.

“The guests must secure first negative antigen test results before they will be given a pass to attend PBBM’s inauguration at the National Museum,” the city police chief said.

Paday-os said the deployment of policemen started on Wednesday, June 29, to secure the PICC.

He also said doctors from the DOH and members of the Presidential Management Staff (PMS) have been deployed at the PICC Forum Hall in preparation for the arrival of VIP guests who will have to undergo antigen testing.
