Gov. Fernando likens oath-taking of gov’t officials to wedding ceremony

Governor Daniel Fernando said the oath-taking of elected officials is like a wedding ceremony that promises "true love and to love till death do us part".

Fernando made the comparison during the inauguration and oath-taking of elected officials of Bulacan province at the Capitol Gymnasium in the City of Malolos

Fernando said that the elected officials are the grooms and the people who elected them are the brides.

He said that like husbands and wives, they should not break their bond.

He stressed that since the election was over, it’s time to make the occasion a special day to forgive and forget.

"Let the previous rest, and let the future take care to begin our wonderful ideas, and listen to the needy and other people’s consciousness,” Fernando said.

He also discussed his administration's priorities contained in the People's Agenda 10.

The government said he and his new partner, Vice Governor Alexis C. Castro, will be working together for more progress in the province and will be a good example for the next generations.

Executive Judge Olivia V. Escubio-Samar presided over the oath-taking of Gov. Fernando, Vice Gov. Castro, congressmen and congresswomen of the six districts, Board members, mayors, and vice mayors of Bulacan's three cities and 21 towns..
