With these words, second-term Governor Daniel R. Fernando took his oath of office as the 35th Governor of the Province of Bulacan with the other newly elected officials of the province of Bulacan at the Capitol Gymnasium in the City of Malolos on Monday, June 27, 2022.

Fernando described the past three years of his public service as full of trials and heartache.

"It's not easy for a leader to begin, especially amid the pandemic, which is the most serious crisis of our time," he said.

Fernando said his future plans are aligned with those of President-elect Ferdinand “Bongbong” Marcos, Jr. especially on agriculture, infrastructure, and employment.

Fernando and newly-sworn in Vice Governor Alexis C. Castro called on their fellow public officials to unite for the progress and development of the province and the country.

Former Bulacan Governor Roberto Pagdanganan praised Fernando’s quick response to the COVID-19 pandemic.

He said Fernando brought the provincial government to the community, particularly to the far-flung areas, during the pandemic.
