Manila Cathedral to expose relics of three popes Wednesday


The faithful will have the chance to venerate the relics of three popes at the Manila Cathedral in Intramuros on Wednesday, June 29.

In a Facebook post, the Manila Cathedral announced that it will expose the relics of Saints John XXIII, Paul VI and John Paul II during the observance of the Solemnity of Saints Peter and Paul.

"The relics of the three Popes, Saints John XXIII, Paul VI and John Paul II will be exposed for the veneration of the faithful," it said.

"A special estampita or prayer card with the picture of the three saints will be distributed to the faithful," the post further read.

A Mass will also be held at the Cathedral ar 6 p.m. on Wednesday to offer special prayers for Pope Francis.

The Holy Mass will be presided by Apostolic Nuncio tobthe Philippines Archbishop Charles Brown, in the presence of Manila Archbishop Jose F. Cardinal Advincula.
