CSB eyes to extend winning streak in NCAA women's volleyball

College of St. Benilde eyes to keep its record immaculate and a firmer grip of the solo lead as it squares off with a dangerous Mapua Tuesday in NCAA women’s volleyball at the Paco Arena.

The Lady Blazers have strung together four wins in a row to remain unbeaten and untouchable on top and another triumph over the Lady Cardinals in their 12 p.m. showdown will solidify their place at the helm.

It would also push CSB closer to the Final Four while enhancing its chances of snaring its second title since a breakthrough title conquest seven years ago.

But expect Mapua to put up a tough fight as it is also in serious Final Four contention with a 3-1 mark that included a nerve-wracking 20-25, 25-22, 25-23, 13-25, 15-12 win over University of Perpetual Help Friday.

The Lady Cardinals are playing on a mission as they hope to defy overwhelming odds and try to snare their very first women’s crown in the country’s first and oldest collegiate league.

Meanwhile, Arellano tackles Letran at 2:30 p.m.

The Lady Chiefs aim to improve their 4-1 mark while the Lady Knights seek to hike their 1-4 tally.
