Three die as high-speeding car collides with tricycle in Pangasinan


BINALONAN, Pangasinan -- Three people, including a one-year old baby boy, died when a high speeding car collided with a tricycle along the provincial road of Brgy. Linmansangan, here at around 6:40 a.m. on Friday, June 24.

The victims who were declared dead on arrival in hospital were identified as 48-year old Jimmy Cerdeniola, driver of tricycle, and his one-year old son. Cerdeniola was a resident of Brgy. Poblacion, Binalonan.

The other dead victim was Adelaida Dacuag, 69, a resident of Brgy. Canarvacanan, Binalonan who rented the tricycle.

Based on police reports, the speeding sedan driven by Darwin James Alonzo, 19, single, and resident of Brgy. Lipay West, Villasis, Pangasinan encroached the tricycle’s lane, resulting in a collision.

The three tricycle occupants and the car’s driver were rushed to Urdaneta District Hospital.

The driver and the involved vehicles are now under the custody of Binalonan Police for proper disposition.
