The Filipino bets, who first defeated Sengoku in their opening match, completed another dominant run in the deciding match in Group B to advance to the quarterfinals against Chinese champion Funplus Phoenix.

Keith "DevilJ" Gonzales put up a series-long brilliance on the Renekton as he unloaded perfect lines of 8-0-6 in Game 1 before following it up with a steady 4-1-6 KDA in the second game.

Sean "Helios" Palisoc also ran wild in the two-game sweep with a neat 2-0-8 line on the Lucian in the opener before unloading a monster 7-0-4 KDA on the Akali in the series clinching win in Game 2

It was RRQ which drew the series first blood as it used a huge team fight for the Dragon at the 12 minute mark in Game 1. The Filipinos scored a four-man wipe of the Japanese to seize full control of the match before sealing the deal with an ace of Sengoku in the final clash near midlane.

RRQ then went for the Nexus and scored the first point of the series with a 16-2 Game 1 domination.

Smelling blood, the Filipinos went for the jugular in Game 2 to close out the series. Already leading 5-1 in kill score and holding on to a 5k gold lead, RRQ punished a late contest from Sengoku on the Filipinos' Rift Herald take.

The massive clash went to RRQ’s favor as it completed another ace in exchange for Exosen’s Karma to seize the victory with a 18-5 tally.
