1-Pacman Party-list Rep. Mikee Romero chose the woman of the hour, Vice President-elect Sara Durerte, as the person to administer his oath as reelected congressman in the upcoming 19th Congress.
The oath-taking took place Friday, June 24 in Duterte's home city of Davao.
Romero expressed his gratitude to the public for giving him another shot to serve the country as a lawmaker in the House of Representatives.
“I am grateful to our fellow Filipinos for letting me serve you in Congress,” said Romero, a House deputy speaker in the just-concluded 18th Congress.
“Rest assured that I will continue my advocacies for the welfare and the benefit of the people.”
1-Pacman stands for One Patriotic Coalition of Marginalized Nationals.
Duterte received a whopping 32 million votes during the May 9 polls, the most from any single candidate.
