Poll Spokesperson John Rex C. Laudiangco said one of the important points discussed was the grant of P7,000 honoraria to around 20 DICT personnel who rendered election-related technical assistance to the COMELEC.

“They’ll receive P7,000 each regardless of the number of days they served the elections,” he said on Thursday, June 23.

He noted that the said DICT personnel were deployed to Vote-Counting Machine (VCM) Regional Repair Hubs, Provincial SD Card Technical Hubs, and other poll facilities.

According to Laudiangco, the aforementioned DICT personnel were apart from the Electoral Board (EB) members who have been granted additional honoraria for rendering extended hours of service.

On May 23, the poll body granted P2,000 additional honoraria to around 6,000 teachers and staff who have experienced delays on Election Day, May 9.

Then Comelec Commissioner George Erwin M. Garcia said all the around 6,000 EB members and staff of the 2,038 precincts have been found eligible by the poll body to get the additional honoraria.
