All is well. This is what actress Liza Soberano reiterated amid issues involving her love life and career.
In an interview with ABS-CBN, Liza belied the rumor that she and longtime reel and real partner Enrique Gil have called it quits.
"Quen is fine. There are a lot of rumors sparking, we're fine. We're totally fine," she said.
According to Liza, her boyfriend actually knew all about her recent trips abroad.
"And I had talked to him and I was like: 'These are really like big opportunities that I don't want to miss upon. I hope you understand.' And he's totally understanding about the whole thing and very supportive."
Recall that Liza just signed a management contract with James Reid’s Careless.
In the same interview, she shared how James reached out to Enrique in September last year for a meeting about Liza's career.
"And I, was on the point where my contract was already ending with both Star Magic and Tito Ogie, and so I did a lot of back and forth, thinking if it was the right thing to do," she said.
Then in December, Liza talked to Ogie, her talent manager for the past 11 years.
"I asked for his permission. I asked how he would feel about it. And I'm glad that we share the same sentiments. He thought it was about time for me to be able to grow on my own. And I explained the whole thing very well to him and we did it in a very respectful manner. It was a really good experience, actually. No bad blood at all."
If ever, Liza wants to try and be a recording artist. She also likes to pursue a career in Hollywood.
"I don't want to jinx it. I want to say more Hollywood. That is definitely what we're trying to do right," she revealed. "I don't want to say I'm only focused there because, of course, I still have a career to take care of here. Let's see what happens."
