56 wanted persons nabbed in Cordillera police manhunt operations


LA TRINIDAD, Benguet -- A series of manhunt operations conducted by the Police Regional Office-Cordillera resulted into the arrest of 56 wanted individuals from June 12 to 18.

Based on records from the Regional Investigation and Detective Management Division (RIDMD), Baguio City Police Office (BCPO) recorded the highest number of arrests with 20 followed by Benguet and Abra Police Provincial Offices (PPO) with 13 each, Apayao PPO with seven, and Kalinga PPO with three.

Highlight of the manhunt operations were the arrest of nine individuals listed as most wanted person on various levels.

Five were listed at the provincial level, one on the municipal level, and three on the station level.

On the provincial level, Delfin Liced, listed as No. 2, was arrested by the Benguet PPO for violation of Republic Act (RA) 9262 or the Anti-Violence Against Women and their Children Act; Rodrigo Sag-al, listed as No. 2, was arrested by Kalinga PPO for violation of RA 10883 or the Anti- Carnapping Law; Jay-Ef Doser, listed as No. 2, was arrested by Apayao PPO for the crime of rape; Justin Balat listed as No. 3 was arrested by Apayao PPO for the crime of rape, and Jaypee Bersamira listed as No. 8 was arrested by operatives of Abra PPO for the crime of murder.

On the municipal level, Abner Vidad listed as No. 1 was arrested by operatives of Apayao PPO for violation of RA 7610 or the Special Protection of Children Against Abuse, Exploitation, and Discrimination Act.

On the station level, Ana Mae Daping listed as No. 1 and Danila Baybayan Jr. listed as No. 5 were arrested by operatives of Baguio CPO for the crime of perjury and estafa, respectively, while Rolly Lando listed as No. 5 was arrested for the crime of statutory rape.
