PCGH to conduct mass developmental screening for children aged 0 to 8 years old

In line with the celebration of the 45th anniversary of the Pasay City General Hospital (PCGH), a mass developmental screening for children aged 0 to 8 years old will be conducted on Saturday (June 25).

According to Mayor Emi Calixto-Rubiano, the hospital’s Department of Pediatrics will be accepting first 50 registered children who will undergo developmental screening.

Rubiano told the parents or guardians to register their children who need developmental screening by calling or texting the following numbers: 0993-379-0737 or 0976-013-2203. Walk-ins are not allowed.

She said the mass screening will be conducted at the PCGH out-patient department from 8:00 a.m. to 1:00 p.m.

The mayor stressed that it is very important for parents and guardians to see or observe the development of a child.

She advised them to see and talk to a doctor when their child exhibits difficulty in language, movement, thinking, behaviour, and in expressing emotions.

Rubiano explained that during the developmental screening, doctors, nurses and other health professionals will take a closer look on how a child is developing, and will give a brief test to parents and guardians about the child.
