According to a report from DZBB, injured during the fire were a 58-year old man who had difficulty in breathing and a 17 year-old.

According to Fire Officer 2 Miyuki Tuto, the fire broke out along San Luis St., Sitio Fatima, Valley 6, Parañaque City at around 12:24 a.m.

The Bureau of Fire Protection (BFP) raised the fire to the second alarm at 12:25 a.m.

It reached the third alarm by 12:39 a.m. and the fourth alarm by 12:54 a.m., according to Senior Fire Inspector Beverly May Grimaldo-De Leon, the ground commander at the scene.

The fire was put under control by 2:20 a.m. and declared fire out at 4:14 a.m. by Fire Superintendent Bernard T. Rosete of the BFP.

The BFP said a loud explosion occurred followed by a fire that immediately spread to houses that were made of light materials.

Around 19 fire trucks responded to the blaze. The BFP said fire trucks had difficulty in reaching the area since the road was narrow and there was an ongoing construction.

It also said the fire hydrant was located very far from the fire scene.

The BFP reported that residents in the area helped in dousing the fire with water from a drainage system.

Tuto said the cause of the fire is being investigated.

The damage was placed at P600,000.
