The Filipino cagers lost steam and found themselves trailing in the endgame despite Jared Bahay's 25-point performance as the Koreans enjoyed a 13-point lead midway through the fourth quarter.

Bahay continued to pump life for Gilas but the Filipinos couldn't put a stop at the Koreans' offense behind the late efforts of Shin Hyun-bin and Ku Ming-yo.

Lee Yujin posted 17 points, six rebounds, four steals, and three rebounds, Hyun-bin added 15 points while Lee Gwan-woo had 11.

Ming-yo scored five straight points for Korea to rebuild a comfortable 86-72 advantage and pull away for good.

Bahay fired three free throws in the ensuing play, 86-72, with 36 seconds left but the lead was too much to overcome for Gilas as Daniel Edi iced the match with a layup.

Apart from his 25 points, Bahay also had nine assists and four rebounds while Zain Mahmood had 12 points and six rebounds.

Caelum Harris chipped in 10 points and six rebounds while Renzo Competente, who provided the spark for Gilas in previous games, was limited to nine points.
