CAAP launches online platform for issuance of permits

The Civil Aviation Authority of the Philippines (CAAP) launched an online platform to expedite the issuance of permits, licenses, and certificates for the construction of shared Passive Telecommunication Tower Infrastructures (PTTI).

CAAP Director General Jim Sydiongco said the launching includes Height Clearance Permit (HCP) application process that provides the map of CAAP Critical Areas.

"The map of CAAP Critical Areas will serve as a guide for stakeholders in relation to their application for Height Clearance permit, prior to submitting their requirements," said Sydiongco.

In his keynote speech, Anti-Red Tape Authority (ARTA) officer-In-Charge Undersecretary Ernesto V. Perez said the online platform will provide services that are responsive to the needs of times.

The CAAP Critical Areas virtual map can be accessed online via http://www.caap.gov.ph/. Under "Other Services," click the Height Clearance icon then select "CAAP Critical Areas."

Aside from the virtual map of critical areas, an online portal digitalizing the process of applying for height clearance permits is also set to be available soon at the CAAP website (www.caap.gov.ph).
