Cetaphil owns sensitive skincare

If you’ve consulted with a dermatologist to treat your skin concern, chances are you’ve probably heard of Cetaphil. That’s because dermatologists often recommend Cetaphil products as part of the skincare routine, especially for sensitive skin.

It’s in the name itself. Cetaphil (pronounced ‘see-ta-fil’) means a love of moisturizing and soothing skin. It is derived from the word “cet,” which comes from the hydrating agent Cetearyl alcohol, which helps improve the texture of formulations, protects the skin from moisture loss, and reduces the impact of allergens and bacteria on the skin, and “phil,” which means love.

This year, it’s celebrating 75 years of delivering skincare that combines the best of technology and dermatological science.

Science-backed, well-loved
It’s easy to understand why Cetaphil has become a well-loved brand. With Cetaphil, skincare has become a simple, no-frills regimen that millions have integrated into their daily self-care routine. Seeing positive results reinforces the habit of caring for one’s skin, creating a rewarding experience for the millions who have integrated Cetaphil into their day.

That’s because Cetaphil is science-backed skincare. Across its different products are formulas that reinforce the skin’s natural protective barrier. Cetaphil products use quality ingredients and pH levels that respect the skin’s acid-alkaline balance. They are fragrance-free and hypoallergenic, making them ideal for daily use.

Today, Cetaphil is available in more than 70 countries worldwide. Among the best-sellers is the Dermatologist-recommended Gentle Skin Cleanser to effectively cleanse all skin types without stripping the skin of hydration; the Moisturizing Lotion and Moisturizing Cream to keep skin soothed and supple for a total of 48 hours; and Cetaphil Pro AD Derma, a unique line for those who suffer very dry, itchy, and eczema-prone skin.

And it’s continuing to come up with future best-sellers. Cetaphil Baby is recognized by Watsons in their Health Wellness and Beauty Awards as Baby Brand of the Year and is growing a following among mothers nationwide. But the fastest-growing skin innovation right now is Cetaphil Bright Healthy Radiance for providing visibly brighter skin. It effectively addresses the root cause of dark spots and safely evens out skin tone in just four weeks, with regular use.

75 years of skin love
To mark its 75th year, Cetaphil will roll out a new look, which will make it easier for people to find the right product for their skin needs. And for the legions of fans of its Gentle Skin Cleanser, a new formulation is sure to reinforce its status as a well-loved skincare brand.

The new cult favorite is Cetaphil Bright Healthy Radiance, touted as a skin care product that delivers healthy, bright skin regardless of skin type. The scientists behind Cetaphil Bright Healthy Radiance designed the skincare line as a way to brighten sensitive skin safely and gently.

It has GentleBright Technology, a blend of gentle yet effective brightening ingredients such as Sea Daffodil and Niacinamide, which work together to visibly correct dark spots without irritation, boost brightness, and even skin tone in just four weeks.

The Cetaphil Bright Healthy Radiance line includes products for both face and body. There’s the Brightness Refresh Toner, a skin-perfecting toner for a brighter and more even complexion, the Brightening Day Protection Cream SPF15 to help prevent dark spots while under the sun, and the Brightening Night Comfort Cream that hydrates and brightens skin as we sleep. The Brightening Lotion, Brightness Reveal Body Wash, and Brightness Reveal Bar will leave skin feeling refreshed, smooth, and noticeably radiant in just four weeks.

Another of Cetaphil’s most successful innovations is a dedicated skincare line for babies. Cetaphil Baby offers a complete range of products tested and approved by Pediatricians, Ophthalmologists, and Dermatologists, making it ideal for baby’s delicate skin.

Cetaphil Baby offers 5-Fold Protection for baby’s growing skin. It is Gentle, Hypoallergenic, and Soothing while providing Moisture Seal, and maintaining a healthy Skin Barrier, to help nourish and protect baby’s delicate skin.

The 2-in-1 Cetaphil Baby Gentle Wash and Shampoo’s tear-free formulation provides head-to-toe cleansing for babies. At the same time, The Cetaphil Baby Daily Lotion soothes, nourishes, and keeps baby’s skin hydrated for up to 24 hours — perfect for a bonding massage session with baby after playtime or before going to bed, helping him relax and sleep better. The Cetaphil Baby Advanced Protection Cream is baby skin’s defense against dryness, roughness, and irritation. It’s ideal for those problem areas where the skin needs the most protection against irritation and discomfort.
